Dr. Jenson
With his extensive knowledge and expertise in evidence-based medicine, board-qualified podiatrist Dr. Ryan Jenson, DPM, is trained to treat the most complex of foot and ankle conditions.
After attending Brigham Young University and the University of Colorado, Dr. Jenson graduated from the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine through Midwestern University in Glendale Arizona. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree and then went on to complete his forefoot and rearfoot residency training right here in Kansas City at University Health.
Patients of Dr. Jenson can expect to be involved in every step of their health care and be educated on knowing all possible treatment options. Dr. Jenson treats each patient individually, keeping the patient’s best interest in mind by offering innovative non-surgical therapies.
He has a special interest in common pathologies like plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, bunions, hammer toes, and sports injuries. Dr. Jenson also offers routine preventive care. He has tremendous experience in wound care and runs a wound care clinic at St Luke’s North hospital, caring for patients with serious diabetic ulcers and foot wounds. He performs surgery at several outpatient surgery centers as well as being privileged at St Luke’s and Liberty hospitals.
When he’s not busy caring for patients, Dr. Jenson spends time with his wife and three children running between the kid’s activities. When he can break away, he loves spending his time golfing or riding motorcycles. He is a big Chiefs and Royals fan and roots for the BYU Cougs at all times. He considers himself a serious foodie and will gladly accept any recommendations you might have around the KC area.
