Greetings from Kansas City Institute of Podiatry!

We wanted to reach out to all of you on what is happening on our campus that includes The Overland Park Regional Medical Center. As you already know our parking is not the best and not always the easiest to find spots when you enter in the surface lot from Quivira Road.

We have just learned that for the next 6 weeks or more the front parking lot of our building will now be the temporary Helicopter Pad for the Emergency room’s Flight for Life. That will mean, on occasion you might experience a delay in entering our lot due to the Helicopter landing or taking off. Additionally, you will notice less spots available when the Helicopter is not in operation.

We apologize for this additional inconvenience and offer a couple of options for you:

General Inquiries

  1. You are always welcome to park in the covered parking garage.
  2. The Sarah Cannon building is the building located across 106 th Street just south of our medical building. Their surface parking is available to you. There are usually spots along the street in that lot and you can walk across the street to our building.
  3. There is Valet Parking at the MAIN ENTRANCE to the HOSPITAL that you are welcome to use. That would require a small walk to our building but would allow you to not have to find parking.

We realize that this may cause some of you to be frustrated, our doctors and staff are very frustrated as well. Please know that this is temporary and we will let you know of any changes that occur.
